How do I send you my photo?

After you order, you'll get a message from me with simple upload instructions. You can send your scan or photograph of the print through Etsy Messages or email — whichever is easier. For Family Legacy album orders, I'll set up a shared folder for the whole collection.

What's the best way to scan or photograph my picture?

Scan at the highest resolution your scanner allows (600 DPI is ideal). If you can't scan, photograph the print straight-on in soft daylight, filling the frame, with no flash glare. Don't use screenshots of the photo if you have the original print, and please don't run it through beauty filters before sending — I need to see the real damage to fix it properly.

How long does restoration take?

Most single photos: 2-3 business days. Multi-photo packages: about 2 days per photo (3 photos about 6 business days, 5 photos about 10 business days). Family photo albums: 14 to 30 days after we receive your photos, depending on size. Need it sooner? Message me before ordering.

Will the restored person still look like themselves?

That's the entire point of my studio. My identity-first approach keeps facial geometry, expression, age, and natural features true to your original photograph. I repair the damage around and within the photo without redrawing the face into someone else. No plastic skin, no beautified strangers.

My photo is badly damaged / blurry / tiny. Can you still fix it?

Often, yes — but honesty first. Send it to me before ordering and I'll tell you exactly what's recoverable. A lightly damaged photo can come back beautifully. A severely blurred or partially destroyed face has real limits, and in those cases I restore conservatively rather than inventing details that were never there.

What file do I receive?

A high-resolution JPG and PNG, sized for printing (typically good for 8x10 or larger, depending on your original scan). You'll also keep a web-friendly copy for sharing with family. Nothing physical is shipped — this is a fully digital service; your finished files are delivered through Etsy Messages (and email if you prefer).

Can I print and frame the restoration?

Absolutely — that's what it's for. Your purchase includes the right to print the restored photo for personal and family use, as many copies as you like.

Do you offer discounts for many photos?

Yes — the Multi-Photo Restoration Package (3 or 5 photos) and the Family Legacy album packages (10, 25, 50, or 100 photos) bring the per-photo price down significantly. For very large collections, message me for a custom quote.

Is my photo kept private?

Completely. I never share client photographs publicly without your explicit written permission — no portfolio, no social media, nowhere.

When the face in an old photo is torn, missing, or badly damaged, a normal restoration can't bring it back. This service rebuilds that face, using other photos of the same person as the guide.

WHO THIS IS FOR
This is for photos where the face itself is torn away, scratched through, water-damaged, or faded past saving. If your photo is faded, scratched, or stained but the faces are still there, my $12 Photo Restoration & Colorization listing is the right one, and it costs a lot less.

WHAT YOU GET, $49 PER FACE
• The damaged face rebuilt, guided by your reference photos
• Up to 3 reference photos included, so send the clearest ones you have
• The rest of the photo restored too: tears, scratches, stains and fading repaired
• The face checked by eye against every reference photo before it comes to you
• A preview before final delivery, plus revisions at no cost if the face doesn't look right to you
• A high-resolution digital file (JPG and PNG), within 7 days after I receive your photos
• Your Premium Family Photo Album included, like every restoration in my shop

HOW TO ORDER
1. Buy this listing. If more than one face in the photo needs rebuilding, set the quantity to the number of faces.
2. After you order, send me in Etsy Messages:
• the damaged photo (your best scan or a straight-on phone picture, no filters)
• up to 3 clear reference photos of the same person, ideally around the same age
• a few words about them: hair color, eye color, anything you remember
3. I'll look everything over and message you a preview.
4. You receive your finished digital file through Etsy.

The instant download is a short guide that walks you through what to send.

HONEST EXPECTATIONS
The result depends on how clear your reference photos are. Sharp, well-lit photos where the face is easy to see give the closest likeness. If yours are blurry, very small, or from a very different age, I'll tell you honestly before I start.

HOW IT'S MADE
This is AI-assisted restoration. I guide the work, then check the rebuilt face by eye against every reference photo you send, so your person still looks like themselves.

ABOUT THE PHOTO
The first listing photo is my own family's photo, my uncle at a field switchboard in Vietnam. The face was rebuilt from the two reference photos shown beside it.

Digital file only. No physical item will be shipped.

AI disclosure: This listing's restorations are made with AI-assisted tools, guided and checked by me.
