WHAT THE SHEET DOES
- Pick Snowball (smallest balance first) or Avalanche (highest interest rate first) from a drop-down. Switch any time and the order updates.
- Type an extra monthly payment. It lands on the debt that is next in line, marked in orange.
- List up to 12 debts: name, original balance, balance now, interest rate and minimum payment.
- Every debt gets a payoff order, a % paid with a progress bar, and a status. A paid-off debt turns blue and the extra moves on to the next one.
- Totals for what you started with, what you owe now, your minimums and your extra, plus the share of all your debt that is paid off.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick a strategy and type your extra payment. About ten minutes to set up.
2. Type your debts.
3. Each month: pay every minimum, put the extra on the orange row, then update Balance now.

WORKS IN
- Microsoft Excel 2016 or newer (2019, 2021 and Microsoft 365 too), on Windows or Mac
- Google Sheets (free): upload the file to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets. Excel draws the progress bars; Google Sheets shows the percent
- The Excel or Google Sheets app on your phone
- No macros, no add-ons, no subscription. 80 live formulas using standard functions only.

GOOD TO KNOW
- This is a digital download. Nothing will be shipped.
- It shows what to pay first and how far along you are. It does not work out interest, payoff dates or payment schedules.
- Colorblind friendly: blue marks paid-off debts and the cells you fill in, orange marks the debt to pay extra on. No red and green.
- The example debts, balances and rates are invented.
