ABOUT THE 2027 NUMBERS
The 2027 IRS mileage rate and the 2027 Form 1040-ES weren't published yet when this kit was made (October 2026). The 2027 due dates are worked out from the IRS rule (a due date on a weekend or legal holiday moves to the next business day), and the file shows where to confirm them. Schedule C line numbers follow the IRS 2026 Schedule C. Every IRS figure used is listed with its irs.gov source.

FAQ
Q: Does it calculate my taxes?
A: No. It organizes your records, holds back the percentage you choose and gives an optional, clearly labeled self-employment tax estimate. It doesn't calculate income tax or tell you what to pay. It's a planning tool, not tax advice.
Q: Who is it for?
A: US freelancers and side hustlers who report business income on Schedule C (Form 1040), including single-member LLCs taxed as sole proprietorships. If your business files a different return, ask your preparer whether the categories fit.
Q: What about the 2027 mileage rate?
A: The IRS usually announces it in late December. The rate cell is prefilled with the latest published rate (76¢ a mile for July to December 2026), clearly labeled, and the sheet reminds you to swap in the 2027 rate.
Q: Does it work in Google Sheets?
A: Yes. It's a real .xlsx file with no macros. Open it in Excel, or import it into Google Sheets with File → Import → Upload. The formulas come across intact.
Q: How do I get the files?
A: Right after purchase, from Etsy → You → Purchases and reviews, or the download link in your Etsy confirmation email. You can re-download any time.
