A price typed as text, such as 20, is still counted. A quantity typed as a word, such as twenty, is flagged and left out of the total. A negative quantity or price is flagged. A quantity with no price is flagged. A plan typed as text, such as 20, is still counted. A plan typed as a word, such as twenty, is flagged and counted as zero. A negative plan is flagged and still counted. The workbook is saved with the totals already calculated. Extra shopping lines past the list show a warning and are not in the total. Lines typed below those extra rows show a second warning and are not in the total. Formula cells are locked. A line that lands in Unassigned is flagged, so nothing is dropped. A plan typed on the Unassigned row counts in the Planned total and in Left. Holiday and category names on the Budget sheet are locked, so renaming a category cannot move those lines.

HOW IT WORKS

2. To print, use the Letter or A4 file at Actual size / 100%.
3. To use links, open the digital PDF. The contents lines open each section.
4. Type amounts in the blank workbook. The sample workbook is a fictional household so you can see the totals.
