Highlights

Trace a letter, then draw the animal that starts with it, one step at a time: A is for Ant, B is for Bear, all the way to Z is for Zebra. Thirty pages of alphabet tracing and directed drawing for kindergarten, preschool and homeschool.

WHAT YOU GET
- 4 PDF files, 30 pages each (cover, how-to page, 26 letter pages, ABC Passport, certificate)
- US Letter and A4 sizes
- A color version and an ink-saver version (black and gray, light on ink)
- On every letter page: a dotted capital and small letter with start dots, a ruled practice line of dotted letters, six drawing steps, a small colored picture of the finished animal, a short animal fact and a big practice box
- A short Read Me First PDF with printing tips and terms (5 files in all)

THE 26 ANIMALS
A Ant, B Bear, C Cat, D Dog, E Elephant, F Fox, G Giraffe, H Horse, I Inchworm, J Jellyfish, K Koala, L Lion, M Monkey, N Narwhal, O Owl, P Panda, Q Quail, R Rabbit, S Snail, T Turtle, U Urchin, V Viper, W Whale, X X-ray Fish, Y Yak, Z Zebra.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Print the PDF at 100 percent ("Actual size") on plain paper.
2. Say the letter. Trace the dotted letters. A colored dot shows where each stroke starts.
3. Draw the animal in six steps, then again alone in the big box.
Pencil first, then trace over it with a marker or crayon.

ABOUT THE LETTERS
The dotted letters are simple shapes with a start dot for each stroke. There are no stroke-order arrows, and they do not follow any one school handwriting program. If your class uses a particular style, follow that one for how to form each letter. This is a fun practice and drawing set, not a full handwriting course.

GOOD FOR
Preschool and kindergarten at home or in class, alphabet centers, early finishers and quiet-time bins. Young children may need a grown-up to read the short instructions with them.

NOT INCLUDED
Printed copies (this is a digital download, nothing ships), pencils or paper, answer keys, a handwriting program. There is no single correct way for a drawing to look.

DIGITAL DOWNLOAD
After payment, Etsy gives you the files on the Purchases page. You need a PDF reader and a printer. Colors on your screen and on paper can look a little different.

HOW IT WAS MADE
Designed by a seller. The animal drawings and letters were built from simple shapes with code and checked by the seller. Some of the listing text and the Read Me First page were drafted with an AI assistant and edited by the seller.

TERMS OF USE
Personal use for your own family, or use with one classroom or tutoring group you teach. Please do not resell, share, upload or give away the PDF files, and do not sell the printed pages.
