Seed Ledger | Garden Seed Inventory for Seed Savers & Gardeners (Google Sheets)

Form to sheet: log it in-the-moment on a Google Form on your phone, and the entry lands organized in your Google Sheet. No app, no re-typing. That's how every Ledger & Light tool works.

Is that packet from this year, or from three years ago? Your Seed Ledger keeps a count of every packet, envelope and jar in your seed collection, with the year it was packed for and its germination beside it.

Your Seed Ledger is a Google Sheet with a phone form. Open the Log Seeds form, choose the variety, choose Added, Sown or Counted, and enter the amount. Every entry travels form to sheet and lands as a row on your Seed Log, and your Items tab works out what is on hand. Log it in-the-moment, at the seed box or the potting bench, and the number in your sheet matches the number in your hand.

Source, Seed Year and Germination sit on every variety. Write down who you got it from and the year it was packed or saved, and, if you have tested it, how much of it sprouted. Germination is optional: a blank is fine. Your Items tab shows the oldest packets and the weak ones at a glance, so you know what to sow first.

Your Dashboard keeps two lists. The Shopping List shows everything Low or Out, grouped by Source, so you can order from one place. Sown most shows what went in the ground over the last 60 days, with what is on hand next to each.
