The Lads is part of my Images of Ireland series: Irish places, memories and stories, painted in bold colour.

An original artwork inspired by sunny days traveling through Ireland’s beautiful little towns and villages during the summer months. Beare Island is in the Atlantic ocean, and just off the coast of County Cork in the south of Ireland. This is my Da's birthplace and the artwork is dedicated him, may he rest in peace. Here, a couple of the local lads are doing what the Irish do so well - enjoying the warm weather and fresh sea air. Of course, the only reason this works in the first place is because nobody minds if you take your pint outside. There is no better way to unwind after chasing after cows and sheep, and working the farm all day.

WHAT YOU GET
A physical fine-art print of my original painting, produced by a professional lab on archival photographic paper. This is a printed piece shipped to you, not a digital download.

CHOOSE YOUR SIZE AND FINISH
• Unframed prints: 8×10, 16×20 or 20×30 inches
• Framed prints: 8×10, 16×20 or 20×30 inches in a white wooden frame with white mat and gallery wire, ready to hang
• Most popular: 16×20 framed, the best balance of size, detail and wall presence
I use a clean white frame for this series because it lets the colour and composition take centre stage in any room.
