INSIDE
- Eight fold-and-glue envelopes, one for each category. Cut on the solid line, fold on the dashed lines, and glue the flaps. Printed at actual size, the front panel fits a US bill (6.14 in by 2.61 in).
- Cash budget for Groceries, Transport, Household, Giving, Personal, Kids, Fun, and Buffer.
- A tracker page for each envelope, a monthly set-aside page, and a notes page.
- An amount typed as text, such as 20, is still counted, including a 25th tracker line. An amount typed as a word, such as twenty, is flagged and left out of the total. A negative amount is flagged and still counted. A line with a note or category and no amount is flagged and left out. Typing a category that is not on the list is blocked by the dropdown. Unassigned appears for a pasted value, such as a category that is not on the list or a category with a trailing space, and for a line with an amount and no category. That line is flagged and rolls into Unassigned. A plan typed as text, such as 20, is still counted. A plan typed as a word, such as twenty, is flagged and counted as zero. A negative plan is flagged and still counted. A row past the last line shows a warning and is not in the total. The flag column names the problem. It does not say OK. The workbook is saved with the totals already calculated. Formula cells are locked in Excel. Google Sheets doesn't keep Excel's lock, so type only in Budget column B (rows 5-12) and Spending columns A-D (rows 5-74); to re-lock in Sheets, use Data > Protect sheets and ranges. Left stays filled in when a category has no plan, so that spending is still in the total.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Download and unzip the files.
2. Print the Letter or A4 file at Actual size / 100% and keep the envelope pages with the cash.
3. For links, open the digital PDF and use the contents lines.
4. Type plans and spending in the blank workbook. The sample workbook is a fictional household.
