Highlights

  • Supplies for making crafts
  • Digital download
  • Digital file type(s): 3 ZIP

Seven 3D print files for Revolutionary War flag ornaments, made for Christmas 2026 and the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, 1776-2026.

• A 13-star ornament: a five-point star with the circle of 13 stars and 1776 on the front, and 1776 / 2026 / 250 YEARS lettered on the back
• A Betsy Ross circle medallion: the 13-star ring, 1776 / 2026 and "250th Anniversary / American Revolution" around the edge
• Relief medallions of the Hopkinson, Bennington, Serapis, Guilford Courthouse and Moultrie flags, with 1776 above and 2026 below the flag. The back reads 250TH ANNIVERSARY / AMERICAN REVOLUTION

Each flag is drawn from its documented design: stripe order, canton, star count, points and arrangement.

★ PRINTS IN ONE COLOUR OR SEVERAL
The flag's colours are built as 0.6 mm steps, so on a single-nozzle printer you can add "pause at height" and swap filament for a multi-colour flag. The heights are in the guide.

★ TESTED
Every STL is one watertight solid with no open edges. Each was sliced for a Creality Ender 3 (0.4 mm nozzle, 0.1 mm layers, PLA at 220 C), and the ready-to-print G-code is included:
• hopkinson_medallion_76mm.stl: 76 mm, 2h 14m and about 11 g on an Ender 3
• bennington_medallion_100mm.stl: 100 mm, 3h 35m and about 18 g on an Ender 3
• moultrie_medallion_76mm.stl: 76 mm, 1h 59m and about 10 g on an Ender 3
• serapis_medallion_90mm.stl: 90 mm, 3h 5m and about 15 g on an Ender 3
• guilford_medallion_76mm.stl: 76 mm, 2h 9m and about 10 g on an Ender 3
• betsy-ross-circle_medallion_76mm.stl: 76 mm, 2h 4m and about 10 g on an Ender 3
• thirteen-star_ornament_90mm.stl: 90 mm, 1h 20m and about 6 g on an Ender 3
No supports needed. Print face up with a brim. The back lettering is cut into the bed face and mirrored so it reads correctly.

★ HISTORY, HONESTLY
• Betsy Ross Flag: The story that Betsy Ross made the first flag was first made public by her grandson William Canby in 1870. No document from the 1770s confirms it, and historians treat it as a family tradition.
• Hopkinson Flag: No drawing by Hopkinson survives. This layout is the standard modern reconstruction, based on his other designs.
• Bennington Flag: The museum dates the surviving flag to about 1812-1830, and its machine-woven cotton points to the 19th century. No 1777 account mentions it.
• Moultrie Flag: Moultrie's description has no lettering. Whether the crescent is a moon or a gorget is debated.
• Serapis Flag: Readings of the Dutch drawing differ: one count gives 12 eight-point stars and one seven-point star, and the drawing is nearly square. This file follows the usual reconstruction at 2:3.
• Guilford Courthouse Flag: There is no period record of the flag, and a National Park Service fabric analysis points to a later date. Some think it was cut down and once had 15 stars. The star layout follows the usual reconstruction.
