When the sun goes down, the Moon lifts a little lamp and carries it slowly across the sky — trim… and dim… and night. On every page he trims the wick a tiny bit more, and the village windows, Pip the rabbit and Hazel the owl grow softer and sleepier with the light, until the lamp is only a speck of gold and the Moon sets it down on the hill. One gentle rhythm repeats and slows on every page, with soft breathe-in, breathe-out cues along the way. A calming wind-down story for ages 2–5, made for the last few minutes before sleep.
