Ripple Crochet Blanket and Ripple Crochet Washcloth, two patterns in one download. Learn the ripple on a quick cotton washcloth, then take it all the way up to a King size blanket.

Both patterns use the same two row Ripple Stitch. Every wrong side row is worked into the third loop of the half double crochet, which gives the zigzag its raised, ridged texture, and a round of clean single crochet keeps the points crisp. There's no shaping and no seaming anywhere. My sister Kirsten designed, crocheted, and filmed both of these herself.

The blanket comes in fifteen sizes, from a tiny lovey to a King, so you can make one for every bed, couch, and baby on your list. The washcloth comes in two sizes, and each one takes a single ball of cotton.

• Blanket yarn: Herrschners Worsted 8, #4 worsted weight, 100% acrylic, 489yds/226g. From 210 yds (Lovey) to 15,410 yds (King) total, split evenly across four colors. The Small Throw takes about 4,290 yds. Colors shown: Aran, Dark Grey, Pecan, and Sleet
• Washcloth yarn: Village Yarn Craft Cotton, 100% cotton, 115yds/71g, 53 (96) yds. Colors shown: Sage, Cream, Honey, and Pomegranate
• Hook: I (5.5mm) for both
• Notions: scissors, yarn needle, removable stitch marker, and measuring tape
• Optional: blocking mats and pins

📐 Skill Level:
