Highlights

  • Supplies for making crafts
  • Digital download
  • Digital file type(s): 1 PDF

Build a 13 × 10 walk-in chicken run from a True Designs interactive 3D plan. Turn the model, zoom in on any joint and watch it go together step by step. Every board is drawn for you, and the shopping list is done.

WHAT YOU GET
• An interactive 3D model you can turn, zoom and tap
• 15 build steps, each with the new boards shown in color
• A cut list that draws every board, with the angles marked
• A shopping list you can price out and tick off at the store
• Measured drawings: plan, front and side
• Works on your phone, tablet or computer

THE RUN
• Footprint: 13' × 10', outside of the posts
• Height: 7' at the front and 6' at the back, so rain and snow run off
• Freestanding. It sits on the ground and is held down with eight screw-in earth anchors. No concrete and no post holes.
• 1/2" hardware cloth on every wall, under the roof overhang, and in a 2 ft apron on the ground to stop diggers
• A corrugated polycarbonate roof, with a 6" overhang at the back and a fascia board front and back
• A walk-in door that swings out, with a thumb latch that works from inside and out
• A framed opening in the left wall for a coop ramp. Move it to suit your coop.
• The front and back walls are built flat on the ground, then stood up.

HOW IT WORKS
This is a digital download. Nothing ships. After you buy, you download a one-page PDF that shows you how to get your personal link to the plan. Your link opens on up to 3 of your devices, like your phone and your computer, so you can have the plan with you at the saw.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Tools: a miter saw, a drill and an impact driver do most of it. The plan lists the rest.
• Lumber, hardware cloth and hardware are not included.
• Check your local rules for chickens and backyard structures before you build.
• For your personal use. Please don't share or resell the plan.

Working with True Designs was great! We had a specific sized area for a chicken run that we need to build. I talked with them about the specifics and they had a design ready to go within 2 days that was exactly to what ew needed. The program they use has all the cuts and measurements as well as detailed explanations of steps to take. Would highly recommend them and will be using them again in the future for any other builds we may have.
