Noncash donation value tracker spreadsheet with a giving dashboard and an item-by-item donation log

A charitable donation tracker spreadsheet with a built-in noncash value guide that shows what your donated clothes, furniture and household items are worth, flags missing receipts and Form 8283, and compares your 2026 charitable deduction with and without itemizing.

Know what that bag of clothes is worth, and whether it counts this year. Log each drop-off once - the date, the charity, the item, how many and its condition - and the value fills in from the guide. Cash gifts and volunteer mileage go in the same file, so the year-end totals for your tax preparer are ready when you are.

WHAT IT DOES FOR YOU
- Item-by-item noncash log: about 70 common items in 8 categories (men's, women's and kids' clothing, shoes, linens and kitchen, furniture, electronics, books and toys) with typical thrift-store prices, low and high. Each row uses Mid unless you pick Low or High, or type your own value.
- Condition counts: clothing and household items below good used condition count $0, as the IRS rule says.
- Receipts and acknowledgments: a drop-off or a single gift of $250 or more without a written acknowledgment is flagged, and so is a drop-off with no receipt or a cash gift with no record.
- Form 8283: shows when your noncash total for the year is over $500, and flags an item or group of similar items over $5,000 that likely needs a qualified appraisal.
- The 2026 rules, side by side: if you don't itemize, cash gifts to charities still count up to $1,000 ($2,000 married filing jointly); if you do, the first 0.5% of your AGI doesn't. Gifts to donor-advised funds are marked "itemized only". It compares the totals - it never chooses for you.
- Cash gifts log: checks, cards, online, payroll and cash.
- Volunteer mileage at the charitable rate (14 cents a mile for 2026), plus parking and tolls.
- Totals by charity and by year, with EIN and address for your records.
