Sewing Pricing Calculator Spreadsheet, Sewing Cost Calculator, Fabric, Notions and Pattern License Cost, Wholesale, Google Sheets Excel

Know what every tote, pouch and apron really costs to sew, and what to charge for it after Etsy fees.

Fabric by the yard, lining, interfacing, a zipper, webbing, snaps, thread, a label, the pattern you bought with its commercial license, and the hour you spent cutting, sewing and pressing: it all adds up. This calculator turns it into a true cost per item and a suggested price for the profit margin you want.

HOW IT WORKS
- Materials: type your supplies once as you bought them (1 yd of canvas, a 10 m linen bolt, 20 zippers, a 5000 m thread cone, 10 yd of webbing used by the inch). The cost per yard, meter, inch or piece is worked out for you.
- Calculator: pattern price incl. commercial license and how many items you plan to sell from it. Pattern cost per item fills in.
- Items per batch and your batch cutting minutes give the cutting time per item. Add a fabric overage % for shrinkage, print matching and cutting waste.
- Pick each fabric and notion and type how much one item uses, then needle and machine upkeep, packaging and your minutes per step.
- Read the suggested price, then type your own price to see fees, profit, margin, earned per hour and the wholesale check.

GOOD TO KNOW
- Digital download, no physical item. Nothing will be shipped.
- A costing and pricing tool. Selling items made from a bought pattern: check that its license allows it. Children's products have their own safety rules.
- Works in any currency: amounts are plain numbers.
- Etsy fee rates (listing $0.20, transaction 6.5%, payment processing by bank country, optional Offsite Ads 15% / 12%, regulatory fee) are editable settings, so you can update them if Etsy changes its fees.
- Comes with sample data, clearly marked SAMPLE, so you can see how it works. Sample prices are made up and are not benchmarks.
- Not affiliated with or endorsed by Etsy, Inc. Not tax, legal or financial advice.
