Nathan Hale Shirt, History Teacher Gift, Revolutionary War Patriot Tee, Founding Era Gift for Social Studies Teachers

Great teacher. Terrible spy. A chibi storybook-watercolor Nathan Hale tee for history and social studies teachers, Revolutionary War buffs and anyone who loves a colonial schoolteacher turned patriot.

THE STORY BEHIND IT
Nathan Hale was a Yale graduate and Connecticut schoolteacher who became a captain in the Continental Army. In September 1776 he went behind British lines on Long Island to gather information. He was captured on September 21 and hanged in New York City the next day, at age 21. His last words are traditionally reported as "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country." No official record of them survives, and historians question the exact wording.
