This Home Daycare Business Kit is a ready-to-use spreadsheet for Google Sheets and Excel. Add each child with the parent, start date, schedule and rate per week or per month. Log every payment: tuition, state subsidy or voucher, registration and late fees, and food program (CACFP) money. The Balances tab shows what each family owes this month and this year, in red when money is owed. Type drop-off and pickup times on Sign In-Out and the Attendance tab fills a monthly grid with days and hours per child. Keep a meal and snack log with menu and milk for food program reviews. Log costs as Daycare only (100%), Shared home or Personal, and the Time-Space tab works out the share of rent, utilities and other home costs you can deduct, using the IRS Publication 587 method. A month-by-month P&L shows what you keep. Type in the yellow cells; everything else is calculated for you.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Download the .xlsx files after purchase.
2. Google Sheets: upload to Google Drive, open, then File > Save as Google Sheets.
Excel: open the file and click Enable Editing.
3. Fill in Setup and Families (about 10 minutes). Then log payments, sign-ins and costs as they happen.

Works in Google Sheets (free) and Microsoft Excel (desktop and Microsoft 365). Not for Apple Numbers.
