Seller's description

At dusk in the old orchard, Hoot the owl lands on the apple tree and begins to count the round red apples — one… two… dim… hush. For every apple she counts, one lantern in the village below goes dim, while Rosie the fox curls up in the grass and the Moon climbs up to listen. Page by page the lanterns grow fewer, the rhythm grows slower, and the whole hill settles into sleep. A calming counting-down story for ages 2–5, made for the last few minutes before bed.
