WHY LIVE OAK: Stiff, slow-decomposing leaves hold their shape for months, feeding your cleanup crew while the enclosure stays looking natural. Layer 1-2 inches over your substrate to lock in moisture, give shy animals cover, and feed the microfauna that keep a bioactive tank clean. Works in tropical, temperate, and arid builds.

NO SPRAYS, NO CHEMICALS: Never treated, fumigated, or heat-baked. Dry Texas air does the work. A safe leaf litter for reptiles, amphibians, tarantulas, and inverts: ball pythons, crested geckos, dart frogs, tree frogs, leopard geckos, snails, and rubber ducky, dairy cow, and powder isopods. Shrimp keepers: dried oak is a long-lasting alternative to Indian almond leaves for biofilm and tannins.
