HOW PLAN AND GUIDE FIT TOGETHER
The plan shows a raised bed 1200 x 800 mm with seat edge in 3 sizes; the three example models in the guide (log-style planks, posts, stone) are separate methods with calculations you can adapt. The post spacing in the plan follows the sizing table in the guide (chapter 7: 28 mm boards span at most 0.72 m freely), which is why size C (1600 x 1000 mm) has a middle post on both short sides. With US 5/4 boards (only 1 inch thick) the free span drops to approx. 0.65 m, so add a middle post on the short sides of sizes A and B too – the plan explains this.
