A funny gift for history lovers, gardeners, folklore fans and anyone who loves old churches: a chibi storybook-watercolor Green Man covered in oak leaves sits on a carved stone capital, shrugs and says "Six hundred years on a church ceiling. Nobody looks up."

A funny, cute medieval folklore gift for a history buff, a gardener, an architecture fan, an art history student or anyone who always looks up in a cathedral.

THE STORY BEHIND IT
All over medieval Europe, from about the 11th to the 16th century, stone carvers hid leafy faces in churches and cathedrals: on roof bosses high in the vaults, on corbels and under the seats of choir stalls. Nobody signed them and nobody wrote down what they meant. In 1939 the folklorist Lady Raglan gave them the name the Green Man, and they are still up there today, mostly unnoticed.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
- Funny medieval folklore shirt: the watercolor chibi Green Man with a leafy beard and an oak-leaf crown, shrugging with one open hand, says "Six hundred years on a church ceiling. Nobody looks up."

- Big, bold speech-bubble joke, with the design printed up to about 12 inches wide, depending on size, so it reads across the room
- Original chibi watercolor art by Honeyman Tees: a body of layered oak leaves, acorns in his hair, a rope belt, an oak sprig with an acorn in one hand, sitting on a carved stone capital
- Soft, comfy tee, made to order and printed to last; a funny gift for the history fan who notices the details
