New baby household budget by Envelo CribCount: what the baby costs before the birth and in the first year, month by month, and what to save each month until the due date.

A crib, a stroller and a car seat before the birth, then diapers, formula, doctor visits and maybe childcare – while gifts and child benefit help a little and your normal budget covers part of it. CribCount puts it all on one plan and turns it into one number: what to set aside each month before the baby comes.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Add the due date, the month you start saving, what you have saved and what your budget can give each month after the birth
• Add each cost: before the birth, once in a month of the first year, or every month from one month to another

EXAMPLE INSIDE
A made-up couple expecting their first baby in June, saving from January. 1,360 of things before the birth, diapers, doctor visits and formula every month, childcare from month 7 – against 500 of baby shower gifts, a gift from the grandparents, child benefit and 350 a month from their budget. The baby fund is 4,340: 1,200 already saved and 628 a month for 5 months. Month 11 is the biggest, and after month 12 the baby still costs 705 a month more than their budget and help.

LANGUAGES
The app switches between English, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, Italiano, Nederlands, Polski, Русский, हिन्दी and العربية (right to left). The spreadsheet has a switch for the first 10 and a separate Arabic file.

2. Unzip and open Envelo-CribCount.html in your web browser. Look at the filled example, then press My numbers.
3. Add the due date, your costs and the help you get. Everything updates as you type and saves in your browser.
