Memorial Star Map, In Loving Memory Sympathy Gift, Night Sky on Their Date, Loss of Mother Father Husband Wife, Printable Remembrance

Seller's description

The real night sky over a place and a date that belonged to someone you have lost: the night they were born, a wedding night, a last night. Their name, the place, the date and the sky exactly as it was, with a line for the years or a few words of your own.

Tell us the details. We calculate where every star, the Moon and the planets were at that exact minute and draw them as a circular sky map above a pine treeline, with your words, the place, the date and the coordinates underneath. The Moon is drawn in its true phase and the print names it, along with any planets that were above the horizon.

WHAT YOU GET
- Two styles of the same map: Northwoods (deep navy sky, made for framing) and Ink (white paper, black stars, easy to print at home).
- PDF files sized for 8x10, 11x14, 16x20, 12x18, A4 and A3. PDFs are vector, so they print sharp at any size. 16x20 scales to 24x30 and 12x18 scales to 24x36.
- 300 dpi PNG files at 8x10, 11x14 and A4 for photo labs and online print services.
- A phone wallpaper (1290 x 2796) laid out to leave room for the clock.
- A short printing guide with paper, frame and print shop tips.

HOW TO ORDER
1. Add your details in the personalization box: their name, the city, the date you want remembered, and an optional line such as the years or a short phrase. The title reads Forever in our hearts unless you give us your own.
2. Within about two minutes your finished map is ready at our pickup page: both styles, every size, and the phone wallpaper. The instant download here on Etsy is a one-page guide with the pickup link; enter your Etsy order number and the name on your order. If we need one detail first, the page asks you there.
3. Print at home, at any photo lab, or with an online print service, then frame it.

Check the names, date and place before you order. If something is wrong on the map, message us and we will fix it. Every map includes one free revision.

DETAILS
- Any date from 1900 to 2050, anywhere on Earth. Times are local to the place you give, daylight saving time included.
- No time? We use 10:00 PM, when the sky is dark in most of the world.
- The title reads Forever in our hearts unless you give us your own. Titles up to about 24 characters fit on one line; longer titles wrap to two.
- The extra line under the names holds up to about 40 characters.
- Stars brighter than magnitude 6 (everything the eye can see on a dark night), constellation lines, the Milky Way, the Moon, and Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.

HOW IT WAS MADE
Designed in-house. The maps are drawn by software we wrote with AI assistance, from real astronomical data: star positions from the Hipparcos catalog (XHIP compilation), constellation figures from d3-celestial, planet and Moon positions from NASA JPL DE421, and places from GeoNames. No stock or generated images.

NOTES
- This is a digital file. Nothing ships, no frame included.
- Colors can look slightly different on paper than on screen. For home printing, the Ink style uses the least ink.
- Previews on this page are real maps made with the same software, for the dates and places printed on them.
