Mayflower Descendant Chart, Editable Line of Descent and Ancestor Certificate

A line of descent shows one straight line through your family: the Mayflower passenger of 1620 at the top, then his or her child, that child's child, and so on to the present. Type your line into the included Line of Descent Maker and it lays out a framable heritage chart, sized to your paper. Each generation shows the name, birth and death dates and places, spouse, and marriage date and place. The passenger's box adds a note line, for example "Signer of the Mayflower Compact".

Then honor your passenger with the matching certificate, or list every Mayflower ancestor in your family on one page with the Roll of Mayflower Ancestors.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Download and unzip.
2. Open the Maker in your web browser (the Start Here guide shows how, step by step). Type the passenger, then each generation down to you.
3. Click Print / Save as PDF. Choose the same paper size and orientation, Margins: None, Scale: 100%. Print at home or send the PDF to any print shop.
Your entries save in your browser, and you can save them to a file to finish later. Nothing is uploaded, so your family's details stay on your computer.

THE ART
Every ornament is our own design, drawn as crisp vector art: a 17th-century merchant ship (our drawing of a ship of the period, not a portrait of the Mayflower), a twisted rope border, compass stars and a laurel wreath. No clip art and no AI images.

GOOD TO KNOW
- The photos show an example line: John Howland was a real passenger; the descendants shown are invented.
- This is our own design and a personal keepsake and research aid. It is not an official document and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any lineage or hereditary society. Each society sets its own rules, so check the current requirements of the one you plan to apply to.
- The Maker is easiest on a laptop or desktop computer. One spouse per generation. Accented names are fine.
- The frame is not included. Colors vary slightly by printer and paper.

HOW THIS WAS MADE
Designed by Front Porch Puzzle Press. The chart and certificate layouts, the two Makers, the blank PDFs and the research worksheets were built with custom code that I wrote with help from an AI coding assistant. No AI image generator was used. Every historical note on the worksheets, and the passenger list, was checked against two published sources.
