A nativity that needs no rehearsal at all. Children turn up on the day, dressed up or not, and they are in the play. The leader reads every word, each child is called up when it is their moment, and big noise cards get the whole room joining in.

It is made for the Christmas Eve crib service, where you never know how many children are coming, and it works just as well for Sunday schools, family services, toddler groups, school halls, Brownies, Cubs and Christmas Eve at home. It works with 3 children or with 60 and more, because nobody has any lines of their own.

WHAT'S INSIDE (38 pages + editable scripts)
1. The Crib Service: a full leader script, about 25 minutes with carols or 14 without
2. The Mat Time Version: 10 minutes of copy-me actions for babies, toddlers and preschool
3. The Living Room Version: 5 minutes for one grown-up, a few children and any willing toys
4. 7 full-page noise cards for the crowd: CLIP CLOP, NO ROOM, AHHH, SHHH, BAA, GLORY and OOOH
5. 14 character cards to wear on string, so no costumes are needed
6. 14 stick puppets to cut out and colour
7. Who Plays What: how to share out parts for any number of children on the day
8. Getting ready checklists, helper job cards, and a What If page for when the donkey lies down
9. Running order and carol planner: 6 carol spots with traditional carol ideas
10. One-minute costume ideas for your dressing-up box
11. Poster, invitation flyers, order of service sheet, take-home colouring sheet and certificates
12. Editable Word copy of all three scripts (.docx)
