Sarah's Ball Gown from Labyrinth

Through dangers untold, and hardships unnumbered, I have made this dress, and brought it here for you. This legendary fantasy gown took me three months to make. It is a screen accurate replica of the oft dreamed-of gown that Sarah wears in the memorable masquerade ball sequence in Labyrinth.

Girls and women of all ages have been in love with both the Goblin King and this dress for three decades now. It is burned in our minds, and appears in our deepest dreams – twirling, swishing, sparkling, and seemingly defying gravity.

My will is as strong as yours. If you are determined that you want to, nay must, have this dress for your very own, message me, and we can make it happen. It will be custom fitted and painstakingly hand made to fit you and only you. But remember, this is not a dress for an ordinary girl, who takes care of a screaming baby.

The materials alone for the extravagant gown are precious and pricey. It is made with layers upon layers of white satin, sparkling tulle, gold lace, silver lace, iridescent organza, and more. The bodice is custom fitted and boned with soft but firm rigilene boning to give it shape. A shining ribbon laces through small silver grommets in the back to cinch the bodice. The 6 layered skirt goes over a custom made panniers hoop skirt to give it the correct screen accurate shape, inspired by the decadent dresses of Marie Antoinette. The bodice is covered with hundreds of hand placed Swarovski rhinestones, in different sparkling colours. The sleeve poofs are like sparkly clouds that make the 80's proud. The headdress is custom made with silver leaves, wire, and ribbons. (The necklace and earrings are not made by me.)

However, I am not the Goblin King. I cannot reorder time, or turn the world upside down. This dress takes months of labour to make, so please plan well in advance if you want it for a certain event. Contact me as soon as you can if you have a real interest in it. Thank you!
