The elegant Louts Urn will carry your loved one's ashes out to sea where it will float briefly before gracefully sinking. The urn will release the ashes underwater and biodegrade naturally over time. Float time will vary depending on the weight of the ashes, weather and water conditions. *This urn is designed for a full portion of adult ashes to provide the necessary weight for sinking. For a smaller portion of ashes, weighted material such as sand must be added to the urn in order for it to sink in a timely manner.*

Federal burial at sea guidelines require that cremated remains be scattered at least three nautical miles from land.
