This is a one of a kind, handmade, wire woven necklace!

The teardrop stone is a 40x28mm Bone Fossil Cabochon! I used a viking knit technique to weave the .925 sterling silver wire into a necklace chain, which is finished with antiqued silver plated brass end caps and a hand-shaped .925 sterling silver hook and eye clasp. The stone is placed in a wire woven bezel using .925 sterling silver wire with wire weaving embellishments on the front and back to secure the stone. For some of my necklaces, I like to give them an antiqued appearance with liver of sulfur, but I chose to leave this necklace with the natural shine and brightness of the .925 Sterling Silver. The stone is opaque.

The necklace chain is 20 inches long and the hook and eye clasp add about an inch. The pendant, including the bail, is 2 3/8 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide.

The first image is the front of the pendant. The front of the stone is rounded and the back is flat.

If the necklace needs cleaning, clean with soap (such as Dawn dish soap) and water and a non-abrasive cloth. The necklace needs to be completely dry before storing.

I suggest storing this necklace in an air-tight container, such as a ziploc bag, to prevent any tarnishing that may occur. A polishing cloth can also be used to restore shine upon tarnishing. I don't recommend swimming with this necklace on. Keep it clean and dry and it should keep it's beautiful finish for a long time to come.
