Beautiful embossed leather cat collar. Embossed means that the design is pressed into the leather, and it won't rub off. You can feel the texture of the design when you run your fingers across the face of the collar.

This cat collar was designed especially with cats and their antics in mind. It is made from light weight leather, and comes with a breakaway buckle. So if it gets snagged on something, instead of choking your cat, it will come apart and fall off. The collar is 3/8 inch wide, and is adjustable from about 6 inches up to approximately 9 and 1/2 inches. But I can make it bigger if your cats neck is bigger, or if you want it for your small dog who also has a larger neck. I can also make it smaller for a kitten or smaller cat. Please message me prior to ordering for custom sizing.

This collar will be embossed with the pattern shown in the first pictures, stained the color of your choice from the last picture and finished with mink oil. The finish is water repellent, but the back of the collar remains unfinished, so submersion or prolonged contact with water is not recommended. Please note, if your cat is a messy/splashy type drinker like mine, or you have multiple cats in your house that groom (lick) each other, that water or saliva may discolor the finish where your cat gets the collar wet or licks it. Or the color may bleed out of, or dull the design. Remember, liquids probably cause the most issues when it comes to leather of any kind, so the dryer you keep these collars, the better. These issues may be unavoidable if you want a leather collar, so please take this into consideration prior to ordering, or message me and I'd be happy to discuss other option with you.

A quick note about the colors. Antique saddle tan is a popular color, but sometimes it dries more orange (the way brown is made, you start with orange, then add other colors to make different shades of brown. As a matter of fact, orange can be considered to be in the same spectrum as brown), and the other colors may look different, depending on the cut of leather or the pattern you choose. Some colors may also look different depending on the device or monitor you're viewing them on. Please message me if you are very particular about the color you want. I am always happy to discuss options and give you more info to help you make a choice.

Adjusts with a slip lock buckle, and as previously explained, is secured closed with a breakaway buckle. Comes complete with a 1/2 inch split ring, to hang an ID tag from, and a cat bell.

The best way to take any measurement on your pet is to use a tailors tape. But a string may be used as well. Place the string around the cats neck where you want the collar, then measure the string. It is always best to measure your cat prior to ordering to make sure no alterations need to be made. Once the collar is sized, it can not be altered.

Please note, due to the natural qualities of leather, the colors may be slightly lighter or darker than the picture. Also, the collar may be stiff when you receive it, but it will soften up over time.
