Our leather and brushed brass earrings are made with nickel free surgical steel with an antique brass coating. Brass portion has a hand brushed finish with matte sealant to prevent tarnish.

The lamination process for adhering the leather is individual and very hands on for each earring. This is where the artistry comes in. It involves controlled, precision gluing, trimming, individually hand rounding/softening/sanding and molding the leather edges and a final application of an all natural bees wax/coconut oil leather balm. All these steps produce a quality finished leather jewelry piece with smooth attractive edges and a refined look.

**PLEASE NOTE: Amethyst, Berry, Sapphire and Emerald, which are deep dark heavily pigmented hides, will arrive darker than shown in the swatch images. This is due to the lamination process we use and the leather balm used to seal the piece. This will lighten with wear over time as the oils/waxes wear in. Lighter color hides are NOT effected by this as they are less pigmented and suedes are NOT effected by this as no balm is used.

Also, we like to showcase the uniqueness of each hide and the incorporation of the raw edge of the leather is a purposeful design decision. This "fray" occurs naturally on the edge of the hide creating interesting textural and color variations. It does not decrease the stability of the edge of the hide and will not continue to "fray".
