Yes, these are actual stones that were either once a part of the temple and removed during a repair or leftover material from the construction of the temple. We do not use "similar" stone in our settings. These are the real stone.

For details on each temple stone, refer to our section "Our Temple Stones" for specific details about each temple.

Each temple stone has a different story on how we acquired it. Generally, our stone comes from people who have either done work on the temple, were affiliated with the temple and given a piece, or just lucky enough to come across some during the construction or a renovation.

Truth be known, there is a lot of people out there that have collected temple stones over the years. We meet them all the time at our live events. Most have had they stone for years and do not really know what to do with it.

If you have questions about a particular temple stone and how it was acquired, I am always happy to share the individual story behind them. Send me a conversation on Etsy and I will gladly respond.

This varies by temple. When possible, we use the stone from the outside walls of the temple. However, some temples are actually pre-cast concrete (Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Payson, etc) and this material does not work for jewelry. In those situations we use stone from inside the temple, usually from the flooring or trim.

Each temple uses many different stones in its construction. We are normally just happy to have stone from the temple and will use any temple stone, as long as we can verify it came from or was used in the temple. If we run out of one particular stone, we will use another stone from the same temple in our settings.

This is a hard question to answer. We are first and foremost collectors so we are always looking for new temple stones. We never know when or where we will find them. When we find new ones, we always add them to the store as quickly as possible,

Since we started the Etsy store over three years ago, we have added almost 50 new temple stones. It is our hope to add as many as we can. We regularly post our new stones on our Facebook page so that would be the best place to watch for new additions.
