This mask is a design inspired by the video game "Okami". It's a somewhat traditional depiction of a Japanese Sumi-e styled wolf. Now you can buy this VERY popular design in one of four color combinations:

*Red on white with black/gray details
*Red on black with gold details
*Blue on black with silver details
*Gold on black with gold details

It is carved from one piece of leather and hand shaped, using no molds or forms. Then I paint it with colorfast Liquitex acrylics (in the color version of your choice. More $ for white as it takes several layers for proper coverage) The surface of the mask is then sealed with a waterproof clear coat acrylic. Little imperfections are part of the charm of this piece...no two will be alike.

The mask comes lined with felt, for comfort. To wear, I use round cords and a sliding plastic cord clasp; just push the button and slide the clip for a completely adjustable fit.

The final pictures are examples of this design being worn. It is not an image of the mask that is for sale, but only a demonstration of size and fit for this design. Your mask will be similar to these, and made to order.

I shape my masks to fit generically...they fit most adult faces. The mask rests snugly across the forehead, when tied to the face, and rests on the bridge of the nose and cheekbones. In this way, they fit almost anyone. I do not need face measurements from you, and wearers with wider or narrower faces can flex the masks enough to accommodate them easily.

The masks are surface-sealed, so don't use any oils or leather creams because they'll just make it greasy and gummed-up. If it gets dusty or dirty, wiping with a damp cloth is fine. The outside is waterproof but the inside is not sealed and only water-resistant. Felt has been added to the interior pressure points for added comfort.

If your mask gets REALLY soaked somehow (like in a heavy rain or dropped in water) just set the mask propped someplace where it can dry in peace and it will be fine. Don't worry about drying/cracking; I use only the highest quality vegetable tanned leathers. No alcohol has been used in the tanning process so this kind of leather maintains its flexibility for decades.

My masks arrive in new boxes, individually wrapped in plastic bags and padded with tissue paper and any additional packaging that might be needed to assure that there will be no damage during transport. Gift wrapping (bright tissue paper, seals, and any message you might wish to include) is available upon request.

Absolutely stunning, I haven't been able to wear it yet but I've hung it on my wall until my cosplay is finished, and I've received loads of compliments. It's even more beautiful in person than the photos suggest, I'm looking forward to wearing it to a convention, or even as my Halloween costume this year. So glad I ordered it, I've been wanting one of these for years, and the wait was worth it, 100%!
