A note about the fabric:

Waxed Canvas is a durable fabric that is made out of 100% sturdy cotton canvas. It is a weather repellent fabric and will not be affected by the elements.

This fabric will age beautifully - just like leather - and you can clean it with damp cloth. Do not use soap or dry clean it. It is naturally water and stain resistant. The marks on the fabric are the signature trademark of this fabric.
