DESCRIPTION - This wine rack has the capacity to hold 6 of your favorite bottles. This rack can serve as either day-to-day storage or provide convenient storage for 6 bottles allowing you to avoid frequent trips to your larger wine collection. As with most of my racks they are sized such that they fit well into the landscape of a small apartment.

MATERIAL - This wine rack is crafted from an interesting piece of native Black Walnut. The wood is from a local mill, harvested here in Upstate NY. Walnuts' warmth and character has made it one of the most popular North American hardwoods. The face of the rack has attractive grain including commingling of both darker heartwood and lighter sapwood. The sapwood also has some nice wood borer galleries. I have installed felt padding as a way to provide protection for the finish on your table.

DIMENSIONS - The wood is roughly - 1" thick x 7.75" wide x 14" long and stands 12" in height.

FINISH - The wood is treated with a base coat of hand rubbed tung oil followed with multiple coats of my oil / varnish blend yielding a low luster finish, and a very natural appearance. I do not fill the grain on my projects as I favor the natural more organic appearance of the wood to show through, as such my racks have an oiled open grain, natural presentation.
