What is Giclée print

Giclee (pronounced Gee’clay) is a French term meaning to spray or squirt, which is how an inkjet printer works. However, it is not the same as a standard desktop inkjet printer, and is much larger and more detailed. Giclee prints can be a little over a meter wide and are printed on high-quality archival papers. Giclee is the best way to produce archival reproductions of your fine art and photography.

Do Giclee printers use ordinary printers inks ?

No. We only use brand name, special light-fast inks. Our inks are archival certified and if treated properly, will last a lifetime.

❖ Fine Art Paper: (Art print does not come framed or matted, Ready for framing)

Small / Medium prints from 5 x 7-inch to 12 x 16-inch size are printed on Archival Acid-Free Moab Entrada Rag Natural 290 gsm, Watercolor Smooth Fine Art Paper, and retains the look of an original painting.

Larger prints from 14 x 18-inch to 30 x 40-inch are printed on Archival Matte paper -230 gsm, smooth, neutral-white, matte high-quality Fine Art Poster Paper. It supports accurate color reproduction and high-contrast, high-resolution output and is acid-free for a longer print life with pigment inks.

❖ Canvas - "Not Stretched"

Print on "Not stretched" canvas "Rolled" in a tube. In this case, you'll have to stretch this canvas in the nearest art workshop. It's fast and inexpensive!

All rolled canvas prints come with a 2-inch border.

For Paper:

Small prints are packaged in a protective sleeve to prevent water damage and shipped in a sturdy cardboard mailer so that they will not get bent. Large prints are safely rolled and shipped in a mailing tube.
