This bridle is a straight forward side-cue - it has no straps that tighten under the jaw and does not apply poll pressure.

The listed price includes reins but please let me know if you want the head piece only and I'll make a price adjustment for you.
You are welcome to choose clip on or buckle on reins.

All horse sizes are catered for and each bridle is made to measure.

You don't have to have your bridle studded like those in the pictures, you are welcome to have yours plain if you prefer.

Choose from a wide range of colours. I start each bridle in natural coloured leather and dye it myself so you can have virtually any colour or combination of colours.

You also have the choice of brass or steel buckles and rings.

You are more than welcome to customise your bridle with studs and/or conchos as much as you like so please talk to me about your ideas before you put in your payment. For example, the bridle can be given a western look with buckles and conchos, you can have crystal conchos, or anything else you can think of. Depending on the decoration you choose, the price may have to be adjusted but please let me know what you would like.

If you would like a special design embossed and painted on the bridle, please let me know and I'll give you a quote for the extra work.

A CAUTIONARY WORD -

If your horse is only accustomed to working in a bit, please don't put a bitless bridle on him and expect everything to be fine. Your horse needs to be trained to understand a bitless bridle. Some horses who are accustomed to bit contact can become confused and distressed if they suddenly find themselves without it so please make sure your horse is comfortable with the idea of going bitless before relying on a bridle like this one.


BRIDLE FEATURES
This bridle features a curved crown piece which flows ergonomically around the horse's ears. This came about due to an order I had once for a super-sensitive little horse who hated his standard, straight strap head piece with its tight fit around the back of his ears. Now that I've got used to the curved head piece I really like it and apparently my bossy, opinionated pony does too which is the main thing.

I've been riding in the pictured bridle on the bay pony for three years now and I'm pleased with its performance.

As you can (hopefully) see in the picture, the noseband isn't tight and doesn't need to be. Once it has been adjusted to fit the horse it can be easily slipped on and off without needing to undo it.

On this bridle, the throat latch is used to hold the top rings of the head piece down, away from the horse's eyes. With the head piece in this low position it can't be rubbed off over the head, even by a naughty pony.

There is no brow band intentionally. Since the throat latch isn't pulling against another part of the bridle it doesn't fit tightly around the jaw regardless of how much you do it up.

There are rings at both ends of the cheek pieces so that none of the bridle's straps are static and will adjust slightly to the horse's movements and to pressure applied to the rein rings.

I make each bridle to order and all sizes are catered for. I will request measurements from your horse's head and/or your existing bridle when you order.
