This is a large stylized sitting bulldog. It has large eyes and a smooth finish.
The bulldog measures 7 1/2"H X 5 1/2"L X 3"W at the base opening.
It was sold by Weygandt between 1950-1969..
This mold is in very good condition. Due to its larger size, my Mother did not produce as many of these as the smaller molds which is why it looks almost new.
It is rated D1. See below for explanation.

The rating of chocolate molds: Page 60 in “Chocolate Moulds: A History and Encyclopedia” by Judene Divone copyright 1987
Molds listed “R” are Rare: due to age, the small number produced, the use of multiple pieces, or are designs rarely found in this country.
All other molds are rated by letter and number, from A-1 to D-4. The letter A is the highest rating, D the lowest; then further defined by the number.
The ratings take into consideration the type of mold (common or unique), its age, the manufacturer (styling and detail), the subject matter, and the number produced.
T.C. Weygandt & Co., New York City: 1885-1942 Agent for Anton Reiche. They did manufacture some molds in this country during the war years.. 1943-1968 Manufacturer. They reproduced some of Reiche’s molds, then developed their own line and used their own style numbers. The firm was dissolved in 1968 and the master dies destroyed. Markings: Stamped: T.C. Weygandt Co. New York on two lines. (Many of the molds made in the late 1950’s and 1960’s have no markings
All of the molds I sell have been used in a candy making business between 1955-1985.
Signs of use are visible where the clips are put on and taken off around the sides.
Two to four clips will be included with the mold, depending on the size of the mold.
