By day, these two octopuses are pale ghosts, hanging quietly around your neck, glossed to be protected from the elements and appear wet, freshly pulled from the depths. By night however, they wake to radiate a bright, luminescent glow - one navy blue, the other turquoise. About 4" across - see the left-hand pendant in the last photo for approximate size reference.
Strung on a nice stiff waxed black cotton cord in the length of your choice.

INSTRUCTIONS:
This octopus is not made with regular glow-in-the-dark clay - it is full of a special, high-quality, non-radioactive, non-toxic phosphorescent substance with thousands of hours of glow time. Charge your octopus under a source of light for 15 to 30 minutes; the more UV rays it is exposed to, the brighter it will glow, so charging under a blacklight or direct sunlight produces the best effect. Your octopus will remain clearly visible in darkness for the entire night after one session of charging, however like all glow in the dark items it will progressively dim as the evening goes on. Wear your octopus around a blacklight and it will fluoresce as brilliantly as the first photo the whole time without dimming. The second photo illustrates what your octopus will look like in daylight.
Different phosphorescent colors have different glow levels due to the limitations of the human eye - highlighter yellow glows the brightest and longest, turquoise is a close second, and finally navy blue requires the longest charge time and appears to dim the quickest. This is because it is closest to the ultraviolet wavelengths that humans cannot physically see.
