The wood I use is reclaimed, refurbished, or at least rebought and may be one of a kind. To maximize usage, sign sizing may vary in all dimensions plus or minus about 10%. For custom signs, you'll be sent a mock up based on your custom text along with exact dimensions planned for your project. Let us know at the time of your order if specific sizing is required.

Custom and personalized orders

Be sure to include the name/message in your checkout notes. Keep in mind the max number of characters may be limited based on the size of the item. If you need more, please contact me for a customized quote. The font(s) shown in the first photo is generally standard for that sign. If you wish to use another font, I can accommodate you as the font you wish to use is available from a reputable site for commercial use. Any additional costs will be added to the order. I will send a mockup of your personalized sign within 2 business days for your approval before beginning work. Damage/loss handled thru insurance.

Some items include indoor/outdoor urethane, some include just inside urethane, and some are left unfinished. Cedar weathers nicely outside whether finished or not, but other wood types should be sealed for protection and that protection should be renewed by the customer regularly to ensure continued protection.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Gift wrapping is not currently available, however, I am happy to include a gift message upon request and leave out the pricing on the invoice. Just let me know! Packaging and protective materials are mostly recycled, but still clean and sturdy, this is to save you money as well as help keep perfectly usable material out of the landfill.

I get to work on your mockup as soon as your order is received to get it to you within the promised time frame, so cancellations are not accepted after 24 hours. Please respond promptly with your input for the mockup as work will not begin until you approve it.

Processing Time & Shipping Estimate

Processing time is an estimate. Most of my items are designed and hand made specifically for you and there are times when items must be remade due to not meeting my standards. Shipping times are also estimates. Once accepted by the post office, priority usually takes 1-3 days, but occasionally things are delayed or misdirected. Shipping arrival is not guaranteed except for Priority EXPRESS The only remedy the post office offers if they are late with a Priority Express package is to refund shipping, which you can apply for with your local post office in the event that happens.

Wood is a natural product that varies even within a given wood species. Variation in knots/grain/minor paint bleed are to be expected and not to be considered flaws. Wood, even with a finish applied, will retain it's rustic texture. I do not use heavy finishes that make the wood feel like it has a plastic coating and it may still have some roughness. This is normal.

My daughter took Japanese for two years and was able to visit this beautiful country with her class. I came up with this design as a gift for her, the Japanese teacher, and the chaperones. Corinthians 13:13 is also the bible verse from our wedding, so it's always been a favorite of mine. This wood sign Christian Decor would make a great addition to any Christian home.

Dimensions are approximately 5" x 16" x 3/4".

"As shown" is as in first photo:
-Black border as shown.
-Routed Japanese Kanji and English as shown, painted black (or white if you choose Black Walnut).
-3 coats of polyurethane (indoor use).
-Keyhole slot on the back for hanging.

Other options that can be requested through this listing:
-Choose no border
-Choose Roman Ogee Edging
-Choose from among Cherry, Oak, Maple, and Black Walnut wood. (This is the actual wood species, not just stained pine!)

If you want something different than the options listed, request a custom quote. Here are some ideas:
-If you wish to remove the polyurethane and leave it bare natural wood, save $5.
-If you wish to have no paint in the lettering, save $5.
-Horizontal orientation - no price difference.
-Add bible verse reference, add $3.
-Different Kanji symbols or Kanji only.
-Choose a different size.

If choosing black walnut, white paint is used for the Kanji and English script. Though black is still preferred for the boarder or edging, you can change it - just let me know in the check out notes.

Keep in mind these are hand-crafted and wood is a natural product with variations, so no two signs will be identical and may have knots that should be looked on as added character, not a flaw.
