Sometimes the paper pads I use for my watercolor sketchbooks are machined just slightly not square. In an effort to reduce the amount of waste I generate from my shop, I do not trim pages down to make them perfectly square nor do I trim nested pages flush. I also reuse as many offcuts as I can in the manufacture of smaller sketchbooks. In some cases, the misalignments become more obvious when used on a book of smaller size. This does not, however, reduce the effectiveness or ability to use the journal. It does reduce the amount of waste material, even recycling, that my shop produces. Packaging is minimal so you have less to discard once you receive your order. I do what I can to reduce unnecessary waste wherever I can manage it.

Made To Order Turn Around Time/Holiday Time Table

DUE TO COVID-19 and massive increases in online shopping, there has been a significant slowing in shipping times once packages have entered the mail service. Please be patient and understand that your packages may arrive later than expected. CURRENT TURNAROUND TIME on made-to-order items is 3 days. Please allow for this extra amount of time when ordering made-to-order items. HOLIDAY ORDERS (domestic) must be completed by December 13th for made-to-order products and December 15th for pre-made products to ensure timely delivery. Orders placed after this date may or may not arrive in time for Christmas. International holiday orders should be placed at least 4 weeks ahead of time, but even then, timely delivery cannot be guaranteed.

Journal Sizing and Orientation

I do have limitations on the journal sizes I can make due to the materials and tools that I use as well as my own physical restrictions. I can't make a journal any bigger than 9 inches wide or 10 inches high. Any size that fits within those height or width restrictions I can make. I prefer not to make books that have any more pages per paper type than are offered in the custom-made journal listings. This is because the sheer weight of more pages than that without a rigid spine for stability could cause the book to fall apart or become damaged in the course of normal use. Personalization to Journal Covers

At this point in time, I do not have the tools, equipment, or skill set to allow for customization of journal covers with names or other wording or imagery.

Jewelry Care/Product Care

WARNING: Cloth, paper, canvas, and wood components are flammable and should not be worn or used around flames. Glass beads, stone, and other fragile components are susceptible to breakage if handled roughly. My jewelry is costume jewelry and is not meant to be worn in the shower/water/pool/ocean, slept in, or worn day in and day out as this will result in ruining the pieces. Wipe jewelry down with a soft cloth after wearing it to help prevent tarnish. ♦♦♦ None of my products including, but not limited to, jewelry, journals, and artwork are not suitable for young children. ♦♦♦

I use mixed metal components, vintage metals, found metals, and chains for a lot of my jewelry in addition to pure copper and pure brass. If you have metal allergies please understand that you are buying at your own discretion. Contact me about changing out ear wires ONLY for niobium if you would like a hypoallergenic alternative. If the piece is made with a pure or solid metal it will be stated in the product description and all other metals included will be described to the best of my ability.

This lovely English Springer Spaniel Art was done on Ampersand Scratchbord. The subject of this original sketch was my dad's springer spaniel who was sad because my dad dared to walk off the porch and leave him there. The reference image is my own.
