I designed, carved, and cast the piece. It's cast in lead free pewter. It comes on either an 18-inch or a 24-inch chain. (When you order, please indicate which you'd prefer.) The piece comes in a jewelry pouch with a history card stating:

"St. Joseph–father of Jesus of Nazareth, husband of Mary–was a carpenter, a steadfast and loving husband, and an attentive and devoted father. Given the characteristics of his son, it’s hard to imagine Joseph being anything but kind, gracious to all but especially those in hard circumstances, and full of faith. This medal, handmade at In the Company of Saints, depicts Joseph in his workshop with his son. Joseph is building a small chair for the young Jesus, who is watching his father work. On the back, Joseph shows his son a house he has built. Thus the medal depicts Joseph as a good father: working hard to care for his child but also present for his child in a constant and loving way."
