Oakmoss and Amber is a masculine or feminine sensual fragrance. It evokes a strong memory of walks in the woods, collecting the wonders of nature in a small basket, and breathing in the magical scents of the Maine woods. It has top notes of sage, orange, and grapefruit, mid notes of lavender, and base notes of oakmoss, amber, and tonka bean. It's a scent sure to please candle lovers.

My focus is a quality Maine-made product that is reminiscent of growing up in a Maine farmhouse, with my scents evoking memories of these simpler times. I've lived in a Maine farmhouse most of my life, and these are memories dear to my heart.

My candles are made from soybean wax, a biodegradable, renewable, nontoxic, eco-friendly resource made from locally grown soybeans. Candles made from soy wax emit no toxins or carcinogens into the air as candles made from paraffin wax do. Soy burns at a lower temperature than paraffin, therefore lasting about 50% longer because it evaporates more slowly.

Your candle will burn thoroughly and evenly down the sides of the jar if burned properly. Before the initial burning, trim wick to 1/4" prior to lighting. Burn your candle for at least 3 or 4 hours during this initial burn to create a wax melt pool that spreads across the entire top of the candle surface to touch the sides of the jar. Each subsequent burn thereafter, trim wick to 1/4" before lighting. This prevents the wick from mushrooming and smoking, and ensures a clean, even burn. Never burn your candle near drafts, fans, vents, open windows, etc., to make sure it burns evenly and cleanly. Please do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

Soy wax will develop a "frosted" appearance from time to time, which is characteristic of soy wax. This in no way affects the quality of your candle, and in fact, many people desire this effect because it is proof that your candle is really an authentic soy candle.
