SHOULD I ORDER MY PRINT WITH A WHITE BORDER?

Yes, that's our recommendation, because if you intend to custom frame your print the white border makes this process much easier. We understand that white borders aren't for everyone though and if so, the 'Borderless' option is for you.

IF I CHOOSE A WHITE BORDER HOW BIG IS THE PAPER?

The dimensions listed always refer to the size of the printed image. The paper size increases if you choose a white border so for example a 20 x 30" print with an additional 1" border will have total dimensions of 22 x 32."

I ALREADY HAVE A FRAME, WHAT PAPER SIZE SHOULD I ORDER?

That depends on the size of your frame and if there is a mat included that you want to use. We realize this can be confusing so we're always happy to discuss the options and create a custom print if required – just send us a quick message to get the conversation started.

HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY PRINT?

Handle your print very carefully using two hands. When moving the print try to keep it flat, supporting it from beneath rather than holding the edges. However, do try to avoid repeated handling of your artwork. To preserve your print's life expectancy it should be mounted and framed using archival (acid-free) materials. A recommended method is to use photo corners to attach the print to archival board, and then affixing a mat (also known as a passe-partout) to that board. Dry-mounting the print is also an option if it can be done in an archival manner. The artwork should not directly touch any glass or acrylic. Your photography print should be displayed on walls that avoid direct sunlight, or extremes in temperature and/or humidity.

PRINT SIZE & ARTWORK OPTIONS:
Use the drop-down menus to choose your size and artwork options. All dimensions are in inches. Artwork options are as follows:

➢ With border (recommended)
With this option the photograph is printed with an additional white border. This increases the paper size and allows easier matting and framing of your print – it's the best choice if you have an existing frame with a mat. Border sizes are 0.5" for sizes up to and including 16 x 24", and 1" for sizes 20 x 30" and above. For example, if you select a 30 x 45" print with a border the actual paper will be 32 x 47" to account for the 1" border on each edge.

➢ Borderless
Selecting this option means the photograph is printed edge-to-edge, a contemporary look that can be framed as-is but would require a spacer to separate it from the glass. We do not recommend using a mat with a borderless print.

If you already have a frame with/without a mat and you're not sure which is the best option for you, selecting this will flag your order to us and we'll contact you to make sure we produce the print exactly as you need it. Some customization fees might apply.
