Create gorgeous “dragon scale” fingerless gloves with yarns like Red Heart Unforgettable Yarn and a simple pattern for the Crocodile Stitch. This pattern uses V-Stitches as the base to build your Crocodile Stitches around which helps to give a quick and easy flow to the pattern.

You will need an E (3.50mm) Hook, or a size of hook required to obtain a proper gauge, and a lighter worsted weight yarn, like the self striping Red Heart Unforgettable, Loops & Threads Facets or Knit Picks Chroma (worsted), for this pattern.

Within the first pages of the pattern there are detailed instructions for the special stitches - including the V-Stitch and the Crocodile Stitch. Photos are included to help identify the stitches you need to make and how to make them.

To create matching colour sequenced gloves, it is recommended to use 2 skeins (of the same lot number), one for each hand, as it may become difficult to complete a pair with one skein if you need to search and pull out a lot of yarn for the next correct colour sequence within a skein to start the second glove.

The pattern is simple enough that you can easily make adjustments to the gloves by adding more rounds of Crocodile Stitches or add length of the gloves for your arms.

These gloves measure approximately 9” long and are approximately 4.5” when measured across the Crocodile Stitches (smaller from the inside) and are approximately 3.5-3.75” wide for the wrist-arm section. Sizing of the gloves are for average sized women/teen but if you require larger or smaller gloves, it is recommended to add or subtract beginning chains in a multiple of 6. You could also change hooks size to help find a more personalized fit.
