Super bulky yarn MERINO MINI by Knit Design Studio. Super chunky hand spun lightly felted merino yarn in the richest choice of colors. The yarn is very soft and silky. Perfect for chunky knitting, such as next-to-skin chunky knitted clothes and super chunky blankets. Ideal for knitting cowls, scarves, sweaters, cardigans, hats, blankets and many more things.

Fiber - 100% pure extra-fine merino wool 18,5 microns (Italy origin)
Yarn Weight - Super Chunky / Super bulky / Yarn Weight 6
The length - approx. 275-330 meters (300-360 yards) per a 1 kg ball. The yarn is shipped in a big ball of the unbroken thread for comfortable knitting.
Thickness of a yarn - approx. 6-8 mm
Needles recommended: 12 mm / US 17 (for beanies), 15 mm / US 19 (for cowls, scarves, cardigans, sweaters, blankets), 20 mm - 25 mm / US 36 - US 50 (for blankets and loose knitting)
Average tension = 5 stitches + 9 rows per 10 cm / 4 inches
Yarn features - Handspun single ply roving type yarn with a slight twist. The yarn is lightly felted to fix its form. It allows it to be more practical, avoid pilling and breaking. But still it remains very soft and very pleasant. It is easier to knit with it.
Care - Gentle hand wash with a cool water and without any agitation is possible for small items (hats, scarves, cowls). Lay flat to dry. Gentle dry cleaning is the best for large garments.

Hats & Beanies – 200 grams usually, 300-400 grams for extra-large hat
Cowls - 200 grams for a small snood/cowl, 400-500 grams for infinity cowl
Scarves – 400 grams make a scarf approx. 18*150 cm, 600-800 grams for a large long scarf, 1 kg for a super large long scarf
Sweaters – 1 - 1,4 kg
Cardigan – 1,4– 2 kg

BLANKET SIZE CHART:
1 kg makes approx. 80x115 cm (30*45 inches). Knit blanket loosely (for blankets we recommend 20 mm circular needless) to get the best result. The quantity is approximate and can differ because of density and blanket design.
