Each star is handmade from acid free paper, each point being individually cut, folded, and glued into place. 3 ,4, 9, and 20 inch stars will be available. These stars are suitable as Advents/Christmas decorations, or as works of art to be displayed any time of the year. The smaller stars come in a plastic globe for protecting the delicate paper star during shipping and storage. The star may be displayed with/without the globe as you deem most aesthetically pleasing. These Moravian Stars are designed and crafted to last years and to become a treasured holiday heirloom to be handed down from generation to generation. The two (2), three (3), four (4), five (5), and six (6) inch stars takes over one hour each to create and assemble, requiring more than 256 individual cuts of the scissors and 192 separate folds of the paper to fashion the twenty six (26) star points which are then glued/assembled to form the finished work of art. The 9 and 20 inch stars take three + hours to create.
