I don't know my size!

Our rings are handmade to order and to a precise measurement, the majority require being made again if they are the wrong size. To avoid disappointment of having to pay the resizing fee and sending your initial ring back we advise you to get your ring finger professionally sized and do not recommend you placing and order without being sure.

I'm getting married, like soon!

Don't worry! Just talk to Lisa and if it's possible we can place you on our priority list for a small fee.

How durable is your silver?

Silver only ever bends or warps if it is cast in thin sections. WoodenGold rings are between 1.5mm - 2mm thick. (which, in ring terms, is solid) So in practical terms silver is a strong metal.

Will silver ring tarnish?

Silver does oxidise/patina/tarnish over time, also, if it is introduced to sulfur. This could be as subtle as a cosmetic or a trace in your water supply or in a hand soap. However, your hands will naturally buff and polish your ring continually which will keep your silver silver!

How durable are your Wooden Rings?

My wooden rings are meticulously sealed and coated with a special purpose resin. This ensures the rings are totally waterproof and super strong! However I do advise you remove the rings before extremely heavy duty activities such as weight lifting, manual labour ect. as the surface can be scratched by harder metals. If your ring after a few years does loose it's former lustre, I offer a free recoating service for WoodenGold rings.

How do I care for my ring?

A number of things can cause precious metals to dull, so in order to keep your silver rings looking their best I recommend removing jewellery while exercising, labouring or anything that can scratch the surface of your ring. For a polished ring you can use your WoodenGold polishing cloth to buff. For a matt or textured ring, jewellery polish will reduce your finish, instead you can use your WoodenGold re-texturing pad to reestablish your look. On my Wooden bands surface scratches can be buffed out, just using a cloth and some elbow grease.

How will my ring be Posted?

All of my rings are sent Signed, Insured and Tracked With the Royal Mail. A tracking code will be provided to you on your shipping note so you can track the progress of your package!

Brushed Silver Ring, Simple Silver Ring, Textured Band, Sand Cast Ring, Matt Finish.

The Brushed Ring is made by first making a sand mould and then pouring liquid sterling silver into it. I make this mould very neatly to have as clean a cast as I can. Then I begin work refining the surface to get it to a consistent flat surface and adjust the edges to make it feel comfortable on the hand.
The beauty of this ring comes from the balance between the high polish, professional shaping and makers mark from the inside. And on the outside a rather industrial texture.
The texture is made up from non directional mark so that it diffuses the light and creates more of a glow. You can really see the Quality of the metal and of the cast in how white and beautiful it is.

All our bands are cast using foundry sand which puts a unique grain into the silver; like a fingerprint. The process will therefore leave no two rings identical making your ring truly unique. However I take every effort to maintain continuity with band profile and levels of texture so the ring you receive is as close as possible to the example photo.

Thank you so much to Stephen and Lisa! We love our new rings! Stephen and Lisa were able to, very kindly, accommodate our request for shipment by a specific date which was much appreciated! We have only ever bought rings from WoodenGold, and if, in the future we need new rings, we will only buy them from Stephen as long as he keeps making them!

Buy from WoodenGold. I bought this gorgeous ring for my partner and I was kept fully informed throughout the whole process, it's beautifully made and super elegant. I'd overestimated the size and have now got it back after getting it recast - it's perfect. My partner loves wearing it! Thank you both!
