M O O N S T O N E: Known as the feminine stone, Moonstone is well known to aid conception and alleviate anxiety. It makes an excellent fertility stone to wear when trying to conceive. Known to work by encouraging hope and love. Helps boost energy and fertility as well as helping to balance and calm your emotions. It is also often used to regulate a woman’s menstrual cycle.
Moonstone is a wonderful stone to wear as an amulet to instill good spirits to the wearer, while protecting and maintaining emotional and hormonal balance.

There are two types of moonstones. Adularia (or Rainbow) moonstone is an almost transparent pale gray/white with flashes of blue shimmer when held in the light. It is mainly found in Sri Lanka, Burma, India and Madagascar. We use this Rainbow Moonstone for most of our fertility bracelets and we buy it directly from India. (The alternative is Albite moonstone which is semitransparent with a pale, shimmering reflection but can be quite dull and without blue flash.) Moonstone’s name is derived from the physical nature of the stone. You can always tell real moonstone from man-made opalite (commonly used in its place) because real natural moonstone has a beautiful sheen caused by light reflecting internally in the moonstone from layer inclusion of different feldspars. This can give a lovely rainbow sheen to the stone.

The Water Lily (or Lotus) flower is a symbol for fertility, creation, and purity. The Greeks and Romans linked the lily with the queen of the gods, called Hera by the Greeks and Juno by the Romans. She was the Goddess of Fertility, and for this we named our best-selling fertility bracelets after her. The lily was also one of the symbols of the Roman fertility goddess Venus. Lilies are also good flowers or jewelry symbols to give as wedding gifts because they are symbolic of marriage unions and long lasting relationships. The Story Behind our Fertility Jewelry:

“I have been designing fertility jewelry since 2007 and this has been a very personal venture for me. I struggled with fertility issues, and after suffering multiple miscarriages I decided to make a fertility bracelet for myself and my closest friends. Four months later I was pregnant. I had a little boy, Alexander, and i was later blessed with a second little boy, Jack. We now have 13 little munchkins amongst my close circle of friends, and we believe these bracelets helped us on our journey towards motherhood. Since then, I have been selling my original fertility bracelets on Etsy, and we have loved hearing all the wonderful baby news over the years. We continue to be amazed by our customers, their journeys, and the friends we have found along the way.
