Highlights
The Windsor Modern Bar Stool is our latest stool in our Mid-Century line up. The inspiration for this stool came from studying tradition Windsor chair-making.
The stool embodies many of the traditional joinery that is found in Windsor chairs. The tapered tenons going into the seat get tighter and stronger the more you sit on them. In addition, each tenon in the seat is held in place with a Black Walnut wedge. This insures they will never come apart.
I personally have hand split each leg and rail from a White Oak log. This process ensures there will be straight grain running through the entire piece. It is important to have continuous fibers throughout the whole piece to prevent breakage.
The seat is made of hand-woven Danish Cord and is held in place with traditional Danish nails.
We sincerely hope this stool will bring you joy for years to come.

Reviews for this item
A gorgeous stool, very comfortable, sturdy, well made. Thank you very much for your beautiful work!
This stool is better than I imaged. It's absolutely gorgeous! Peter was extremely helpful in fulfilling any requests and we received it earlier than expected. Awesome products and customer service!
Terrible craftsmanship, by an amateur builder who will not stand by his product. The stool that I received is lopsided and crooked. The spacing between the legs varies by 1.5", making the legs stick out at weird angles that are not in balance with one another. The top of the seat is not square, which is obvious when looking at the stool from above. Seller bragged about finishing the stool in record time, and its very clear that he didn't pay attention to the details. I had asked about expediting to receive the stool within a month, but not for him to whip it together in a couple days and not even get out his measuring tape in the process. Seller is pompous and will not accept a return. I'm very disappointed, both in the seller and in the Etsy platform for allowing people like this to sell here. AVOID THIS HORRIBLE SELLER!
