1850 / 2050 Godette Skirt and bonus Bow Headband
Easy to make
This skirt is one that I really wanted to try out in doll size. It seamed a natural progression from the 8 gore skirt 1836/2036. It is surprisingly easy. There are just a lot of seams to sew. In the latest sample I made I used pinking shears on the seams after I stitched each one. For the knit version you don't need to finish the seam allowance with a serger. It is very difficult to make it fray.
The design works best with a contrast for the inserts. Plains and patterns are best rather than checks or stripes. If you use a knit fabric the skirt drapes nicely.
