Ideal as a bedside table, this handcrafted Shaker style table will be made just for you in the solid American hardwoods of your choice, with a small drawer and a resting removable shelf. These tables work well with most of our beds.

Square top (16", 18" or 20") with square edge and 3/4" overhang on all sides
Height: up to 31"
4"H rails and drawer front
1.5" x 1.5" legs, straight, tapered on the outside edges, or tapered on the inside edges (taper can begin below the rail or below the shelf, see listing pics)
Side-mount full-extension metal drawer slides
Standard drawer box materials: 3/4" kiln-dried poplar sides + 1/4" formaldehyde-free birch plywood bottom
Standard drawer box construction: square joint construction
Wooden knob choices are shown in the listing photographs, or there are hundreds of metal options
Resting lower shelf
0% VOC boiled linseed oil finish OR durable 0% VOC oil and wax finish (Rubio Monocoat Pure)

AMERICAN HARDWOODS
The colors you see are not a stain; they are the natural colors of these beautiful American hardwoods. Because wood is a natural product, its beauty marks are normal, and may include knots, knot holes, worm holes, large streaks or sections of light or blond sapwood and/or variations in grain and color. These variations are what make each piece unique. Any significant knot holes are filled with epoxy to be sure dust doesn't collect in them. White Oak- hard and heavy, very smooth wood with medium brown to olive tone and long brown flecks or rays.
Ambrosia Maple- maple that has been infested by ambrosia beetles, which cause grayish blue to brown streaks over the cream or pinkish colored maple. Varies greatly in appearance from one piece of lumber to the next.
Curly Maple- ripples in the grain pattern create a 3-D effect throughout the cream colored maple. Can sometimes have more color, such as grays and browns.
Quarter-Sawn White Oak- milled in a way to feature the grain, this is white oak, cut in a way to show flecking or areas of brightness in a tiger-like pattern.
Cherry- beautiful smooth warm reddish toned wood which darkens with age and exposure to light.
Curly cherry- rippled highlights in the grain pattern of regular cherry hardwoods, creates a 3-D effect throughout, also darkens with age and exposure to light.
Walnut- the darkest wood we offer, medium to dark rich brown, sometimes with darker chocolate brown streaks or a little bit of golden sapwood.

CUSTOMIZATION
We can change the dimensions of this table with the following exceptions - it can be as shallow as 14"D, and it may lose some stability if we make it taller than 31". Additional options (at an additional cost) include dovetail construction drawer boxes, undercut bevel edge top, breadboard ends, all ambrosia maple or walnut drawer boxes, wooden drawer slides, larger rails/drawer size, a locking drawer, etc. Please inquire for pricing or photos of these options.

ABOUT OUR PIECES
Inspired by the clean lines of Modern and Scandinavian design, we also value the Shakers' attention to detail and quality of construction. When making our furniture, we think about the usability, functionality, and durability of our pieces for generations of use. We are concerned about chemicals and off-gassing, and think you might be as well. The only two products we use in constructing our furniture are VOC-compliant wood glue and our finish options are 0% VOC.

SHIPPING
Packing and shipping are included in the price. The legs and shelf are detachable for ease of shipping, are very easy to put on without needing any tools. We ship via FedEx Ground, OR by courier to the door (where available) and will be in touch through Etsy before we ship to be sure you know when to expect it. If you're up for a road trip to Limestone, Tennessee, you can come pick up your piece at our shop.
